Delete your HomeTwo account and data
Last updated November 2, 2026
You can delete your HomeTwo account yourself, at any time, in the app. It works the same in the iPhone app, the Android app and on the web, and it's free.
Delete your account in the app
1. Open HomeTwo and sign in.
2. Go to Settings › Your account › Delete my account.
3. Confirm with your password. Your account is deleted right away.
Want a copy first? Settings › Your account › Download my data gives you your own data before you delete it.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Plus subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple or Google account settings (iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions; Android: Google Play › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions). Apple or Google will keep charging you until you cancel.
What's deleted and what's kept
Deleted right away: your name, email, password, two-step sign-in keys, devices, settings, private journal, private info bank entries, drafts and blocks.
Kept for your family: messages you sent and records you added to the shared family record stay in it, labeled Former member, because the other parent holds that record too and it may be needed in court.
Kept because the law requires it: subscription consent records, for at least 3 years (or 1 year after the plan ends, if later).
Kept for safety: the audit log of sensitive actions is kept while the family exists, to investigate misuse.
Backups are overwritten on our database provider's rolling schedule.
A child's account
A parent can erase a child's account at any time in Settings › Members. That erases the child's messages, location, profile and sign-in right away.
